Too many families in the 12th District no longer feel safe in their own neighborhoods. Violent crime, repeat offenders, and a lack of coordination have left communities frustrated and unheard.

In Congress, public safety will be my top priority. I will launch the first-ever 12th District Congressional Task Force on Crime Reduction, bringing together law enforcement, community leaders, educators, faith organizations, and local officials to focus on real solutions—reducing violent crime, addressing repeat offenders, and supporting prevention strategies that work.

We can support law enforcement, strengthen community trust, and demand accountability at the same time. Safety should never be political. Every family deserves peace of mind.

Affordability

Making Life Livable Again for Working Families

Rising prices are crushing working families—groceries, housing, utilities, healthcare, and gas all cost more, while wages struggle to keep up. Washington’s reckless spending has made everyday life harder for the people who do the work.

I will fight to rein in wasteful federal spending, protect taxpayers, and advance policies that lower the cost of living. Families should not have to choose between paying bills and building a future. Affordability means opportunity, stability, and dignity for working people.

Education & Literacy

Building Hope Through Opportunity

A safer and more affordable future starts with education. Early childhood literacy is the foundation for lifelong success, yet too many children are being left behind before they ever get a fair start.

I will champion early education and literacy initiatives that empower parents, support teachers, and partner with community organizations. Every child—regardless of background or ZIP code—deserves the tools to read, learn, and succeed.

I will work to ensure that healthcare is accessible and affordable while fighting against high prescription drug costs.
